Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that Michael Sullivan, Jr., principal and co-chair of Gray Plant Mooty’s General Business & Tax Practice Group, has been elected to the Minnesota State Fair Foundation’s Board of Directors.
The 20-member Board of Directors leads the Minnesota State Fair Foundation in its grant efforts, providing exclusive funds to improve Minnesota State Fair buildings, grounds, and educational programs. In 2014, the Foundation granted $2.3 million, making it the largest granting year to date.
From representing buyers and sellers to assisting startup companies with venture capital financings, Michael concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, general corporate/business counseling, and securities offerings. In addition to advising closely held and family businesses, Michael has been recognized as a “Minnesota Super Lawyer®” and regularly competes in the Minnesota State Fair, participating in the giant sunflower contest–third largest, two years in a row. He received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota.
