The Minnesota Cup is a statewide business plan competition that seeks out Minnesota’s newest and most innovative business ideas. The 2011 Minnesota Cup received over 1,000 entries from around the state. The final review panel included members of the local entrepreneurial community, such as venture capitalists, angel investors, entrepreneurs, media, accountants, and attorneys including Gray Plant Mooty’s Doug Ramler. The winner was announced on September 8, at an event honoring the six division winners at the University of Minnesota's McNamara Alumni Center.
