The complexity of the Fair Labor Standards Act rules and regulations and the fast pace of today’s work environment make it very difficult for employers to find the time and energy to make sure that their pay practices are in compliance. Nonetheless, ignoring the rules and regulations by putting off a thoughtful analysis of how your practices fit within the rules and regulations can have disastrous results.
This presentation will use some of the common mistakes and misconceptions that employers make relating to the classification of employees and interns to help explain how certain practices are not in compliance and what may be done to correct the problem practices.
