Richard Bennett focuses his practice on mergers & acquisitions, private equity and venture finance, securities, and general corporate law. Richard counsels public and private businesses on entity formation, governance, securities transactions, and contract negotiation.
While in law school, Richard earned Dean’s Awards for his performance in Mergers & Acquisitions and Negotiation. He served as the president of the law school’s Business & Corporate Law Society and was a leading member of the 2017 ACG Minnesota Cup championship team. Richard’s prior experience includes clerking for the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office in the White Collar Crime Division. While in that role, he provided invaluable support on a number of high profile cases and made regular court appearances prosecuting gross misdemeanors and misdemeanors as a certified student attorney. He is an alumnus of Gray Plant Mooty’s summer associate program.
