Robert concentrates his practice in real property, acquisitions, commercial development, land use development, common interest community development, commercial and residential real property litigation, commercial and residential real estate transactions, commercial and residential title review, eminent domain, and environmental law.
Bob practiced law in Glenwood, Minnesota, and Shakopee, Minnesota, before joining Gray Plant Mooty in 1990.

- Formulate commercial and residential common interest communities (planned developments, condominiums, and cooperatives)
- Prepare and review purchase and lease documents
- Advise clients on multiple aspects of commercial and residential developments, including acquisitions, governmental approvals, financing, and due diligence completion
- Represents developers before governmental boards, councils, and agencies
- Title and survey examination
- Represent clients in land use dispute resolution
- Represent financial institutions on property issues in loan transactions, including loan due diligence issues and foreclosures
- Clients include commercial developers, residential developers, financial institutions, and municipalities
- Projects have included acquisition of 7,000 acres of northern Minnesota land for hunting preserve, real estate, and title aspects for financing one billion dollars of ethanol and bio-energy projects, establish multiple commercial, residential, and resort common interest communities
