Beck, Peter

Peter is a principal at Gray Plant Mooty with over 30 years of municipal, land use, and environmental law experience. His private sector practice includes general land use and environmental representation in all types of proceedings affecting the ownership, use and development of land. His public sector practice includes serving as city attorney for the city of Elk River, Minnesota, and serving as special counsel on environmental, development, and other issues for a number of governmental entities.

Peter is a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice for Civil Facilitative/Hybrid and for Civil Adjudicative/Evaluative processes. His 30 years of experience representing both public and private sector clients in land use and municipal matters makes him uniquely qualified to serve as a mediator for these types of matters. Peter’s experience includes mediating land use and real estate disputes.

Prior to entering private practice in 1978, Peter served as a staff lawyer for the U.S. Supreme Court.
