Lin works with businesses to solve their legal needs in the areas of corporate law, securities law, finance, licensing, and mergers and acquisitions. He approaches matters from the client’s perspective, having served as interim CEO of a medical products company pending completion of new technology and sale of the business, and an executive officer of a software/internet infrastructure company assisting in the company’s reorganization and financing in the post-internet bubble economy.
He joined Gray Plant Mooty in 1969, after practicing with a Wall Street law firm where he represented underwriters in public financings.

- Structuring technology transfer agreements with large domestic and foreign companies
- Negotiating strategic investments with international investors
- Advising managements of early stage to mature businesses on general corporate law matters

- Counseling companies on going private tender offers and business spin-offs
- Serving as special counsel to the board of directors of a public company, leading an independent investigation of the company’s accounting/business practices
