John is a principal with Gray Plant Mooty and practices in the areas of real estate and real estate finance. He has extensive experience representing buyers, sellers, developers, borrowers, lenders, landlords, and tenants in the various aspects of real estate transactions. He works primarily with businesses involved in acquiring or divesting, developing, leasing, or making loans secured by commercial real estate projects. John also has extensive experience in merger and acquisition transactions that include significant real estate components, representing both acquiring and selling parties, and in transactions that involve governmental participation and financing. He also has experience in the area of distressed property workouts and works with litigation attorneys on matters involving real estate issues.
When not practicing law, John has traveled extensively in Latin America. He speaks fairly fluent Spanish.
