
Jacqueline is a principal in the Trust, Estate & Charitable Planning group at Gray Plant Mooty and has 18 years of experience in simple and complex estate planning and business law. She handles simple and complex estate planning through the use of wills, powers of attorneys, health care declarations, trusts, and the use of family-held businesses to preserve and pass assets.
After obtaining her law degree, Jacqueline was in private practice for two years, specializing in real estate, corporate, estate planning, and probate. In 1992, she was employed as an assistant county attorney in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where she worked on environmental issues, mental health and chemical dependency cases, contract issues, medical assistance, real estate and tax issues, and handled appellate litigation. In January 2003, Jacqueline joined Hughes Mathews, P.A., specializing in health law and litigation, employment and business law, estate planning, and environmental and zoning issues. Jacqueline is also adjunct professor of communication studies, criminal justice, and political science at St. Cloud State University where she has taught since 1992. She also is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Minnesota National Guard where she served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) for over twenty years.
