
Dean’s employment and labor practice involves litigation and advising for unionized and nonunionized employers. He also has had a particular focus over the last several years dealing with noncompete issues, including handling numerous litigation matters involving noncompete disputes and disputes over misappropriation of confidential business information.
Dean has significant experience working with employers on union-related labor law matters, including handling grievance arbitrations, defending unfair labor practice charges, and union election campaigns. He also represents labor and employment clients in a variety of jurisdictions, including federal and state courts, and before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, and other such agencies.
Dean has broad and extensive litigation experience representing businesses and individuals in a variety of forums, including significant appellate practice. He is a principal in the firm's Employment and Labor practice group. He also has an extensive business litigation practice, including handling complex antitrust and general commercial litigation matters.
