We are seasoned trial lawyers with extensive backgrounds in class action litigation in jurisdictions throughout the United States. Representative Matters

  • We are currently representing a restaurant in a class action lawsuit brought by the EEOC. The EEOC is representing approximately 200 current and former Hispanic employees of the restaurant who are alleging discrimination based upon national origin.
  • Represented a corporate client in a putative class action some years ago where the proposed class included roughly 38,000 residents from northern Twin Cities suburbs. The case involved a proposed personal injury, property damage, and injunctive relief class arising out of groundwater contamination. We successfully beat off the motion to certify.
  • Represented client in one of the financial arms of a large automobile manufacturer on a proposed Minnesota class relating to consumer lease provisions. The trial court certified a class, but the claims were ultimately defeated on the merits.
  • Represented franchisor against class action antitrust, contract, and fiduciary duty claims relating to advertising programs and supply of product to franchisees; obtained interlocutory appeal of class action certification; appeal granted by court of appeals, then case settled on appeal
  • Represented client in a class action brought alleging practice of sending unsolicited advertisements via fax
  • Represented client in case involving restraint and monopolization claims; consolidated actions brought by two nationwide classes, attorneys general of 34 states; separate action by Federal Trade Commission
  • Acted as local counsel for one client in three state-court class actions challenging pricing practices in pharmaceuticals industry
  • Represented client in a putative class action gender and race discrimination suit. Resolved by confidential settlement
