MINNEAPOLIS, MN  (May 20, 2009) – Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that associates Jessica A. Mitchell and Bryan M. Seiler have joined the firm’s Minneapolis office. Mitchell practices in the areas of agribusiness, bankruptcy and reorganization, commercial lending, and commercial financial services and Seiler practices in the firm’s Litigation group.

During law school, Mitchell was a summer associate with GPM and supported the areas of commercial financial services, business litigation, and employment law. She also served as a legal intern at Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc. and the Office of Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman. Additionally, Mitchell was active in the Dean’s Tutorial Society and the Indianapolis Bar Association Law Student Division. Prior to law school, she was an intern for North Dakota Senator Kent Conrad.

Mitchell earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the Indiana University School of Law and her B.A., summa cum laude, from North Dakota State University.

While in law school, Seiler was actively involved in myriad organizations at the University of Minnesota including the Christian Legal Society, Minnesota Justice Foundation, and the Public Interest Law Students Association. He also gained experience as a summer law clerk for a plaintiff’s employment law firm in 2007 and for the Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services’ Housing Equality Law Project in 2006. Prior to attending law school, Seiler worked in the District Office of then-U.S. Senator Barack Obama as a constituent services intern.

Seiler earned his J.D./M.P.P., magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School and his B.A., cum laude, from Wheaton College.
