Bob is a principal at Gray Plant Mooty and practices in the area of charitable gift planning. He represents colleges, universities, churches, health care organizations, social service agencies, arts organizations, and other nonprofit entities in developing and implementing gift plans for their donors. Bob chairs the firm’s Charitable Gift Planning Team. He is a regular speaker at regional, national, and international conferences on planned giving.
Bob completed his undergraduate study at Harvard University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1983. He was the Articles Editor of the Minnesota Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif.
EXPERIENCE - Bob led a team of Gray Plant Mooty attorneys who reformed roughly 200 charitable remainder unitrusts to take advantage of a recent, favorable change in IRS regulations.
