GPM Shares in Walker Art Center's Commitment to Innovation

Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Walker Art Center's 2007-08 dance season. A longtime Walker partner, GPM has a mission deeply rooted in innovation and a reputation for being forward-thinking and client-centric. "As the oldest and longest-standing law firm in Minneapolis, Gray Plant Mooty has a history of strong positive involvement in our community," says Angela Alwin, GPM's Communications Manager. "The Walker's new director, Olga Viso, has expressed a tremendous enthusiasm for the institution's multidisciplinary character--including its performing arts program--so we felt this was the perfect time for GPM to expand its support of the Walker and its visionary role in the Twin Cities' performing arts community." Gray Plant Mooty joins music season sponsor, Macy's, and media partners, 89.3 The Current and Vita.mn, in supporting the Walker's presentation of 27 ambitious music, dance and theater productions and performances this season. "We are incredibly fortunate to have sponsors that are devoted and engaged partners of the Walker and innovators in their own fields," says Philip Bither, William and Nadine McGuire Senior Curator of the Performing Arts. "Their support helps the Walker further its mission as a multidisciplinary arts center by helping us present artists--both emerging and established--who push art forms in new ways, often blurring the lines between visual, performing, and media arts. We are thrilled to be a source of inspiration for our partners. Their commitment to innovation in the arts by supporting the Walker's forward-thinking performing arts program is surely an inspiration to us, our artists, and our audiences."
