Firm Culture
Gray Plant Mooty is a national law firm. Since its inception in 1866, the firm and its leaders have recognized that our most important resource is our talented and committed people. Throughout our halls, impressive resumes abound, but egos do not.
We consistently attract and retain the best people. Our lawyers, paralegals, and staff work together in a collaborative environment, sharing ideas and experiences. Everyone at Gray Plant Mooty is focused on working hard for our clients and providing innovative solutions to their business needs. In addition, we strive to make a positive difference in our communities through involvement in a variety of charitable organizations and pro bono activities.
In 2008, Gray Plant Mooty was honored with a Minnesota Work-Life Champions award, and the firm was named the Outstanding Employer in the medium size category (250-999 employees). The Hennepin County Bar Association recognized the firm with the 2008 Diversity Award for a Legal Employer. In 2008, Working Mother magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers LLC named Gray Plant Mooty one of the nation's 50 "Best Law Firms for Women." And, in 2008, our firm was recognized by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as one of Minnesota's Best Places to Work, the only law firm in the state to be honored for six consecutive years.
But more important than the awards is the everyday work experience at Gray Plant Mooty. Our culture encourages collaboration and values every team member's contributions. We provide an environment where employees have a sense of belonging, provide and receive support, and benefit from an atmosphere of generosity in which all employees, regardless of differences, are respected, encouraged, and enabled to achieve their greatest potential.
