Unions and Your Business Today: Employer Choices and the Employee Free Choice Act (St. Cloud, MN)
Unions are lining up for a big comeback. Will they succeed at the expense of your business? GPM attorneys will discuss strategic options and action plans for employers who want to anticipate potential changes in the law of union organizing. We will focus on action steps that make sense right now, in anticipation of the Employee Free Choice Act. The EFCA is the “card check” bill that could result in many workforces becoming unionized for the first time, with no input at all from the employer, because there would be no right to a secret ballot election. Our goal is to provide practical counsel for employers who need a labor relations strategy for the new union environment.
Speakers include:
Dorraine Larison, Attorney, practicing in employment, labor, commercial financial services, and reorganization & bankruptcy law.
Mark Mathison, Attorney, practicing in employment, labor and immigration law.
