Ray Konz brings unique enthusiasm, objectivity, and tenacity to his practice as a franchise and business litigator. Representing companies in franchise, distribution, and commercial litigation, Ray helps clients with issues ranging from contract disputes, relationship dissolution and terminations, complex business fraud and unfair practices actions, trademark and trade dress infringement, lease disputes, non-compete enforcement, and franchisor vicarious liability claims, as well as product liability claims.

Ray’s prior experience in the automotive repair industry and as a plaintiffs-side tort, wrongful death, and product liability litigator provides him with unique insight into the legal challenges faced by clients in a variety of industries. Ray zealously yet pragmatically advocates for his clients throughout the dispute resolution process, from advisement and pre-suit negotiations to litigation, arbitration, and mediation, bringing comfort and peace of mind to his clients at every stage. 

Outside of the practice of law, Ray enjoys a physically active lifestyle and a devotion to the great outdoors. He occasionally finds time to hone his musical talents and maintains a passion for the arts, good conversation, and the community.

  • Hinkemeyer v. Ford Motor Company, Civil No. 0:13-CV-00739 (D. Minn.) (successfully represented plaintiff in product liability action arising out of Ford Pinto post-collision fuel fed fire)
  • Lozano v. Kevin Wright and Knutson Construction Services Inc., Washington County Court File No. 82-CV-10-2171 (assisted in obtaining record-setting verdict in “soft tissue” truck accident case)
  • Lenzen v. Garon Products, Inc., Civil No. 09–CV–2893 (D. Minn.) (successfully represented plaintiff in product liability/paraplegia action arising out of ladder slide against epoxy floor covering manufacturers)
