Lindsey Day focuses her practice in the areas of corporate governance, start-up and emerging companies, general business law, mergers and acquisitions, and securities. She has extensive experience advising businesses of all sizes on legal issues encountered throughout a business’s life cycle, including entity selection and formation, governance matters, contract drafting and negotiation, financing needs (private placements and private equity and debt offerings), corporate restructurings, shareholder matters, and succession planning.
Prior to practicing law, Lindsey served as a senior associate in tax services at Ernst & Young LLP, where she assisted with international tax restructuring projects, worked to resolve state and local tax issues for large financial institutions, and helped clients find ways to best achieve their business objectives. As a Certified Public Accountant, Lindsey is able to offer her clients legal counsel that is informed by a practical understanding of the financial realities they face.
While Lindsey routinely assists businesses of all kinds, she takes particular pride in her work advising and supporting women-owned entrepreneurs and businesses. As a volunteer with WomenVenture, she advises female entrepreneurs on legal issues that can arise for new and maturing businesses, including women-owned business certification and entity structuring concerns. Lindsey also serves on the Executive Women’s Council of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce, with which she participates in the planning of a wide range of networking, education, and other developmental programming for female professionals in the Twin Cities.
