Kiesha Mayes advises and represents corporate clients in matters pertaining to labor and employment law. As a litigator, she has represented clients in state and federal courts, as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other federal and state-level administrative bodies.
Kiesha also advises employers on compliance with a wide range of laws and regulations, including Title VII and workplace discrimination, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. Kiesha helps clients meet their critical goals while minimizing the legal risk to their businesses and workplaces.
In addition to her work in private practice, Kiesha previously served as an assistant attorney general for the state of Minnesota, granting her crucial first-hand insight into the inner workings of state administrative agencies. Prior to beginning her legal career, Kiesha worked for a large school district where she provided advice and counseling related to disciplinary issues, employee performance, and other employee relations matters, assisted with the resolution of employee grievances, and served as a member of the district’s labor negotiations team.
